We weren’t built to sit still all day, yet modern work keeps us stuck in one place. Remote work gives us freedom, but why does it leave us feeling more exhausted? Burnout is rising; 86% of remote workers report experiencing it, and 40% struggle to switch off from work. We sit for hours, jumping from meeting to meeting, barely moving. And we wonder why we feel drained.
But what if the fix wasn’t another time management hack? What if it was as simple as standing up and moving?
That’s exactly what My Nguyen, Founder of The Confidance, has built her life around—helping people unlock energy, confidence, and performance through movement. Companies like Meta, Philips, and ING have already embraced this approach, with their teams performing 40% better and feeling less stressed. And now, through a partnership with Out of Office, remote professionals worldwide can tap into this approach too.
But My’s journey into movement wasn’t planned—it was something she discovered along the way.
From Vietnam to the world: How My found her calling
Movement has been a constant in My’s life—not just in dance, but in her journey across the world. Born and raised in Vietnam, My spent 16 years in Europe, shaping a career that would blend science, business, and movement in a way no one had quite imagined before. But it didn’t happen overnight.
Like many professionals, My experienced firsthand how traditional work drains energy rather than fuelling it. She saw talented, ambitious individuals losing focus—not because they lacked motivation, but because their bodies were stuck in a cycle of inactivity.
I’ve always believed that movement is more than just physical, it’s about how we connect with ourselves, with others, and with the work we do.
That realization led her to create The Confidance—a company built on the idea that movement isn’t a distraction, but the key to unlocking focus, energy, and confidence.
Redefining movement: Why dance is for everyone
For many people, dance feels intimidating.
'I have two left feet. I can’t remember choreography. I don’t know how to move my hips.’
Sound familiar? My wanted to break that mindset. That’s why she built The Confidance, proving that movement isn’t just physical; it’s a catalyst for business success.
“We don’t need a studio to dance. We don’t have to wait for a party. We can just stand up and move,” she explains. “People forget—80% of our body is water. If you place a glass of water next to music, the water moves. That’s us too! We don’t have to force ourselves to stay still—we’re naturally designed to move.”
At The Confidance, dance isn’t about technique—it’s about freedom, confidence, and using movement to energize both individuals and teams.
Bringing movement to the remote work world
When My first heard about Out of Office, she immediately felt a connection.
“These are my people,” she says. “Driven, remote, and looking for ways to work better, not just work more.”
Having worked remotely herself, she understands the struggles, long hours at the desk, isolation, and the challenge of staying energized when there’s no office buzz to break up the day.
This is why The Confidance & Out of Office partnership makes perfect sense. Through this collaboration, Out of Office members will gain access to movement-based strategies designed to boost productivity, mental well-being, and team performance.
Taking movement global
As The Confidance grows, My isn’t just bringing movement into businesses—she’s bringing it into entire communities.
She’s now organizing remote work retreats in Vietnam, where professionals can experience firsthand how movement transforms work and well-being.
I’m hosting a remote work trip in Hanoi in May. I’d love to see more people experience this—because once you feel it, you understand just how powerful movement is.
And what about India?
“I would love to organize something in India! Maybe in the Himalayas or Goa—it would be a dream to have locals help me bring this vision there.”
(Out of Office members—let’s make this happen!)
The future of work is in motion
Most of us have been taught that productivity means grinding harder, sitting longer, and pushing through exhaustion. But My Nguyen’s work proves the opposite:
Better work happens when we move.
We don’t need another app reminding us to take breaks. We need to reconnect with what our bodies already know—movement fuels energy, confidence, and clarity.
Through The Confidance, My isn’t just helping companies rethink productivity—she’s helping people rediscover what it feels like to be fully present, powerful, and in control of their work and well-being.
And now, with Out of Office partnering with The Confidance, this movement is reaching remote professionals everywhere. Because flexibility shouldn’t come at the cost of burnout—it should be the key to a better way of working.
